Photographer in Great Falls, MT | My Littlest Clients
Having been away from the “baby stage” with my own two kiddos for quite some time, I’m always grateful to hang out with these cuties…and know that I will still have a full night’s sleep at the end of the day! ;-)
Kidding aside, some of my favorite sessions to edit are those with some chubby cheeks, diaper booties, and big baby eyes! And the rolls?! Oh the rolls!
Now for parents, I understand that your anxiety might rise just thinking about getting your baby or toddler to cooperate for the camera. Good news? Cooperation is not required for amazing images of your little one!
My best advice is to show up for your session ready to play! My main goal is to let your toddler lead the session, explore our surroundings, and then sneak in a few posed snuggle sessions, a kiss here and there, or maybe a good toss in the air. The second they aren’t feeling it, we take another “exploring” break!
Midway through our session, when your little guy or gal is more comfortable (and I’m not so scary anymore!), we will try for some great sitter shots. It helps during these shots to have a soft quilt on-hand, as most aren’t crazy about that pokey grass! Also - a small toy that can keep his or her attention in case they get a little camera shy sitting alone ;-)
No matter what - I’m confident you will be happy with the images we capture, so don’t stress! I promise that any tantrum your toddler throws - my own have thrown, as well!
I can’t wait to work with you and your littlest ones! Get in touch so we can plan your session :)
